MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCES
The McGill University Sexual Identity Centre (MUSIC)
MUSIC provides specialized mental health care to individuals, couples and families with sexual orientation issues. Their clientele includes people who are questioning their sexual orientation or who feel unhappy about it, individuals and couples seeking to improve the quality of their interpersonal relationships, and couples and families who have concerns about a loved one’s sexual orientation. MUSIC also works to enhance the health of the larger community through research, education, outreach and advocacy around sexual orientation issues and homophobia.
AGIR is an autonomous non-profit organization, by and for the LGBTQ migrant community.
Their mission is to develop and offer services, information, programs and resources, in addition to protecting and defending the legal, social and economic rights of migrants (asylum seekers, refugees, immigrants, and those with undetermined status) from lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer (LGBTQ) communities, all in a spirit of solidarity.
AlterHéros is an organization mostly run by dynamic volunteers who are committed to provide information about the challenges of sexual and gender diversity and to demystify LGBTQ+ identities and orientations.
ASTT(e)Q offers support, information, resources, referrals, and workshops for trans people.

Gender Creative Kids
GenderCreativeKids.ca, the website, provides resources for supporting and affirming gender creative kids within their families, schools and communities.
GRIS-Montréal (Groupe de recherche et d’intervention sociale)
GRIS-Montréal is a non-profit community organization who demystifies homosexuality and bisexuality through offering personality testimony. Above all, it’s a big family of 350 people who work together to make sure there is a place for every young person in school, for every senior in nursing homes, for every new immigrant, and for society in general.
Head and Hands
Through education, intervention and referral, and in collaboration with other organizations, Head and Hands provides medical, social and legal services and recreational activities to youth of diverse communities, free of charge.
Interligne is a first response centre that provides help and information to those concerned with sexual orientation and gender diversity. Because our services are accessible 24 hours/day, we are able to offer support to the LGBTQ+ communities, their friends and family and to service providers in the health, education and social service sectors. Through our outreach and awareness activities, we also promote greater openness to LGBTQ+ realities.

The West-Island LGBTQ Youth Centre has the aim of providing a safe and welcoming environment where lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning young people can meet up, get to know each other, and generally understand themselves better as queer-identified people. LGBT Family Coalition
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans-identified (LGBT) Family Coalition advocates for the legal and social recognition of LGBT families. We are a bilingual group of LGBT parents and future parents exchanging information, sharing resources and having fun together with our children.
PFLAG (Parents, Friends of Lesbians and Gays)
PFLAG Canada is a national charitable organization, founded by parents who wished to help themselves and their family members understand and accept their non-heterosexual children.

AIDS Community Care Montreal
ACCM provides support services and treatment information to people living with HIV/AIDS and/or hepatitis C.
The Open Door Network
The Open Door Network (ODN) is a college-wide effort to inform and sensitize faculty, staff and students about sexual orientation and gender identity.
Trans Life Line
The Trans Life Line is a hotline staffed by transgender people for transgender people
Union for Gender Empowerment
The UGE has a pay-what-you-can coop with alternative menstrual, safer sex, and gender empowerment products, and is a safe space on campus to get support on gender and sexuality issues. At McGill in the SSMU Building, room 413.
ATQ (Aide aux transexuels et transexuelles du Québec)
Offers a listening line for transgendered individuals in Quebec.
The Trevor Project
The Trevor Project is an American non-profit organization founded in 1998 focused on suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth. Includes information on self-harm, coming out, sexual health, relationships, etc.

Everyone is Gay
Everyone Is Gay works to improve the lives of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning/Queer, Intersex, and Asexual (LGBTQIA) youth using a three-pronged approach: providing honest advice to these youth while keeping them laughing; talking to students in an effort to create caring, compassionate school environments; and working with families & educators of LGBTQIA kids to help foster an ongoing dialogue and deeper understanding.
