While I’m trained in more popular scientist-practitioner models of counselling, I work intuitively, leaning heavily on humanities and arts-based traditions like humanistic-existential and psychodynamic therapy. This work can often be longer term and reach deep, but in our work, the most important thing for me is to meet you where you are.
I welcome and affirm adults from all backgrounds, ages and orientations. I have experience working with folks who identify as neurodivergent, queer, trans, or belonging to religious, cultural or racial minorities. Clients who work with me have noted how I stay close to their words and honour their unique lived experiences and ways of being.
For me, therapy can offer the opportunity of building a relationship with someone that feels safe enough to be the place where you can become more whole–more truly yourself. In my view this work can be for you and, in turn, for the communities you belong to. My way of working can fit especially well for those experiencing emotional difficulties, relationship and family concerns, existential questions, and major life transitions.
If you’re curious, I welcome you to reach out for a 15 minute consultation call at no charge so we can get a sense of each other and see if we could be a good fit to work together. For more information see my Psychology Today profile or contact me directly by email.
